NATIONAL ELITE

• Boys 400H: 3. Kingston Magnotte 54.11.

• Boys 100 heats: 78. Jayden Whitehorn 12.81 (-5.8) NQ.

Pro Action

• Hobbs Kessler: Ran the 1000 in Ostrava on 6/16, placing 4th in 2:15.44. That’s the fastest-ever by a Michigander, bettering his own 2:16.36 from 2022.

• Freddie Crittenden: placed 8th in the hurdles at Ostrava in 13.67 (0.3).

• Gabriela Leon: vaulted to 2nd in Ostrava, with a clearance of 15-3.

• Alex Rose: Threw his season discus best of 231-1 in Ramona in April. He’s hit two Diamond League meets: Shanghai (10th, 194-0) and Stockholm (7th, 212-8).

• Never tried: a daily update of the nationals meet. Hopefully I can find time to do this each morning. Otherwise, the massive quantity of results—some of them very significant—can be overwhelming to squeeze into one newsletter.
